Patsy and Delia from Call the Midwife

Delia Busby (Kate Lamb) is a nurse at London Hospital and St. John Ambulance who appears for the first time in the second episode of Call the Midwife forth season, where Patsy Mount (Emerald Fennell) presents her to Scouts. She then becomes a recurring character until today. She interacts with Patsy as someone who have known her for a while, implying a more than friendly relationship. When we see Delia again, in the sixth episode, she is holding Patsy’s hand, which confirms the nature of their relationship. But because of prejudice against homosexuals in the 1960s, Patsy and Delia were forced to keep their feelings secret.
